Sites of Transmission (2021-ongoing)

A series of site-responsive actions with transmission towers. Sites of Transmission is an ongoing attunement to the liminal spaces that exist uncomfortably between categorical distinctions of natural, rural or urban space. Melding science fiction with somatic movement practices, I create rituals with transmission towers across Turtle Island.

In this world, transmission towers as sacred monuments erected to mark the complex pathways between big bodies of water and cities. They uphold the vital task of transporting electricity, the polymorphous magical substance that links the body, the northern lights and the grid.
