sun sets (2020)
sun sets is an interdisciplinary performance that uses the phenomenon of the sunset to look at the relationships between the real and the artificial and our subjective positionings within time and the built environment. It is a poetic collage of constructed sunsets, assembled through theatrical, virtual and imaginary means.
A rotating cast of artist created sun sets. The final iteration was performed by Isabella Leone (costumes and scenic design, text), Leyla Sutherland (lighting design, text) and erψn temp3st (choreography, text) with accompanying sound design by Nick Schofield.
Other artists involved in the original ideation and performances were Emma Forgues (sound design), Madeline Smart (text), Magali Casaubon (choreography) and Sam Bourgault (video game design).
